Helping your doctor help you get the sleep you need

Our board-certified MD and certified sleep technicians and nurses provide a full range of services to help you sleep better. The most important way we assist you and your doctor is through a sleep study called polysomnography.

A sleep study is completely painless and records your brain waves, breathing rate and oxygen levels, your heart rate and muscle movements while you sleep. This information sheds light on many disorders that disrupt your sleep – and probably your bed partner’s, too – and keep you from feeling your best, such as:

• Insomnia & the inability to stay asleep throughout the night
• Snoring
• Sleep apnea –
Not breathing for several seconds at a time, throughout sleep.
• Narcolepsy – Falling asleep suddenly, without control – sometimes called “sleep attacks.”
• Restless legs syndrome or periodic limb movement – Kicking, jerking movements in the legs that occur uncontrollably off and on during sleep.
• Childhood sleep disorders – Children can suffer from sleep apnea and are also more prone to problems like sleepwalking or night terrors – conditions that are troubling to loved ones and keep children from the rest they need. We perform studies for kids of all ages and are happy to give your child special care that makes testing easy for both of you.
